For the launch of Halo 5: Guardians we created a global, multi-channel campaign to engage and connect fans. We divided the never before seen cover art into 117 pieces and hid them across Halo owned channels around the world. The hunt started with a cryptic email sent to our most loyal Halo fans, containing three hidden puzzle pieces. Over the next three days we seeded the rest of the pieces across a variety of channels in multiple countries. Fans had to work together and communicate from all corners of the globe to find, share, and assemble all of the pieces. The puzzle was quickly solved and created worldwide buzz for the game in the process.
